• The Red Team tool provides AI-generated strategic critiques and simulations for decision-making in business and other high-stakes environments.
• The Tactical Negotiator tool generates AI-supported negotiation insights, advice, and strategy modeling to help users prepare for complex conversations.

2. Use of Platform

• You must be at least 18 years of age or have legal permission to use this site.
• All outputs are simulations and should be considered opinionated perspectives, not definitive truth or professional advice.
• You agree not to misuse, replicate, or reverse-engineer any part of the Counterplan platform or content.

3. No Guarantees

The tools are designed for planning and decision-support only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or effectiveness of any AI-generated results or summaries.

4. Responsibility and Accountability

• You remain fully responsible for decisions made based on Counterplan outputs.
• The tools are not a substitute for legal, financial, operational, or professional consultation.

5. Intellectual Property

All platform content, branding, structure, prompts, and code are the intellectual property of Counterplan. Unauthorized copying, distribution, or commercial use is prohibited.

6. Privacy and Data

Use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy (below), which details how your data is collected, used, and protected.

7. Termination of Access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the platform for any violation of these terms or misuse of the system, with or without notice.

8. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use after changes indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes arising will be subject to jurisdiction therein.

• Scenario Inputs: Inputs you submit for simulation or negotiation are temporarily processed to generate responses. We do not store these unless you explicitly save or share them.
• Feedback: When you submit feedback, it is stored locally as a JSON file for future analysis.
• Analytics: We use PostHog to collect anonymized data about user behavior (e.g., page visits, interactions).
• Device Information: We may collect standard log data (IP address, browser type, time zone) for debugging or security purposes.

2. Use of Data

• To improve the quality, usability, and performance of the tools.
• To analyze aggregate usage trends (never for personal profiling).
• To identify bugs or errors and improve platform stability.

3. Cookies

We use minimal cookies only as necessary for analytics and session handling.

4. Data Security

We do not store sensitive personal information. API keys are securely managed using environment variables and Fly.io secrets. Access to the server and data files is tightly restricted.

We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Data is processed locally or via trusted APIs (e.g., OpenAI) in accordance with their terms.
